Following the principle of Circular Economy and setting itself the goal of creating a prototype of recyclable composite material 100%
GS4C started in 2010 a scouting activity of innovative and sustainable technologies that could be successfully presented to industries that share requirements of lightness, strength and sustainability. The research led to the identification of a basalt fiber enriched in minerals, produced in Europe.
These activities have led to the creation of some prototypes of semi-finished high-performance fully sustainable and recyclable and the conception of an innovative production process of shells in a multilayer material in aluminum and fiber. This process is the subject of the European patent EP2759399 granted in May 2015. The material was called B.Al.i (Basalt Aluminium infusion).
